BRIEF HISTORY OF CENTRAL/EWHS

Central High School was the school (located at what is now known as Eastern Wayne Middle School) that blacks in the area attended before integration in 1969.  Central and New Hope schools became integrated and is known today as Eastern Wayne High School.  The last graduating class of Central was in 1969.  Many of us that grew up in the surrounding areas have family members, relatives and friends that attended Central.

TO BECOME A MEMBER

All members of the EWHS Class of 1983 are "WELCOME" to join this alumni organization.  Even if you don't join, you can still participate and "REPRESENT" the Class of 1983 during MDW 2024.

If you are interested in becoming a member, the membership fee is only $25 and you can either fill out the membership form online or download the membership form from their website.

Note:  One of the best things about this organization is that they have a "YEARLY" event for people of "ALL EWHS" classes! You don't have to "WAIT" for a Class Reunion Committee to be formed to fellowship with your classmates and others from Eastern Wayne!  They have everything in place. All you have to do is PARTICIPATE, even if you are not a MEMBER! If you've been to one, then you know what I'm talking about!  If you haven't and you're in the area, stop by and see for yourself!
